Barely three years when
controversies of underage marriage rock Nigerian society especially in the
political arena. The man in the high of the storm, the former chief executive
governor of Zamfara state and current serving Nigerian senator that married
acclaimed 13years old Egyptian girl named Marian; This campaigner of underage marriage
senator has done it again
According to
information gather by our correspondence at Ezone, Senator Yerima and four
other persons from Zamfara state house of Assembly witness the handing over.
The girl age is projected at 15years old named Fatima also an Egyptian.
Presently, Mr Yerima
has one child from Marian who they claim is now 17years old. This incumbent
senator had married three wives with Marian 4th. We gather that baba
needs to marry another wife with the first three irreplaceable except the poor
Marian to be replaced by newly married sister Fatima from the same country
because he cant exceed four. Hence, one has to leave and the best is the last

Yerima this year was strongly against the deletion of the section of the 1999 constitution
which pegged the official marriage age in Nigeria as 18years claiming it is
anti-Islam
