The recently decamped
governor from the ruling political party (People Democratic Party) to a newly
merger party APC (All Progressive Congress) Rotimi
Chibueke Amaechi the erstwhile president of
fractionalize Nigeria governors forum (NGF) has challenge all and sundry in
Nigeria society to rise to the challenge to plunged out endemic corruption
which engulf the political arena by throwing stones at their corrupt leaders
This is a quote from
Amaechi statement presented on Dec 14, 2013 to pay tribute to late Nelson
Mandela of South Africa held in Lagos
“Governor
Amaechi said, politicians are still stealing because citizens are yet carryout
jungle justice on them”
He reiterated that, if you see a thief and you allow him to steal,
what do you do?......you have stoned nobody that is why we are steal
stealing…..if you don’t take your destiny into your hands, we will go and other
leaders will come and they will continue to steal said Mr. Governor” with
himself inclusive”
To us at Ezone, Amaechi
statement is very controversial and seems unbelieving”. This is because, the
governor do not exonerate himself from this guilt. The most important thing to
all Nigerians is to mind both the prophet and the message. I believe corruption
remains what it is in Nigeria because concern citizen are not passive enough to
hold their leaders and rulers responsible and accountable Amaechi said. I think
it is high time, Nigeria begin to act according to Rotimi Amaechi pleas but
remember the call must start from him. People from his territory must begin the
race!
